Oil Cap Project Program Assistant


The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is seeking a full-time program assistant for our China Oil Cap Policy Project, to be based in NRDC's Beijing office. The project seeks to help China to peak and reduce its oil consumption as early as possible in key sectors including transportation and the chemicals industry, by providing policy and technical recommendations to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.

Position Summary:

The China Oil Cap Policy Project Program Assistant (PA) will be responsible for helping the Oil Cap Project Manager and project team with project administration and subgrantee management for a project cooperating with government research institutes, think tanks, and universities, on the research, design, and implementation of an oil consumption cap policy for China to meet environmental, health, climate, and sustainable economic development goals. This includes helping with organization and operation of project research review meetings and workshops, collection and organization of project progress and financial reports from research partners, oral and written communications with research partners, processing of invoices, and tracking of project expenditures. The PA will also assist in relevant policy research and translation and developing materials to communicate project research results. The Program Assistant will be based in NRDC'zs Beijing office and will be an integral part of the NRDC China climate and energy team.
