Kai Duan works to advance greening “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI) development. He collaborates with government agencies, universities and research academies on research projects to support BRI green investment policies and standards, green production capacity cooperation, and low-carbon transition cooperation in BRI countries etc. Prior to NRDC, he worked in the environmental and sustainability department of RINA Group, and previously in a national environmental research agency of China Ministry of Ecology and Environment. He has over 15 years of experience in environment and sustainability planning, environmental and social impact assessment, and industrial pollution control advisory practice. He holds a master’s degrees in environmental science from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
