This report examines 31 listed thermal power generation companies, each meeting a threshold requirement of having thermal power capacity equivalent to at least 30% of their total installed capacity. It evaluates each company’s performance in low-carbon transition during the 13th Five-Year Plan and their performance in low-carbon planning during the 14th Five-Year Plan and beyond, forming a ranking based on the analysis. In addition, it selects typical cases for analysis, and proposes insights and suggestions for the transition of thermal power generators, in order to provide research support to the power generation industry in achieving the carbon peaking and neutrality goals.
