The focus of this roundtable is on whether China should develop in-land nuclear power generation capacity, key generation technologies that address safety concerns, and the relationship between nuclear power and renewable energy. Participants concurred on the global attention for nuclear power development, yet differed on whether China should grow nuclear generation capacity in its inlands on a large scale. Mr. Mycle Schneider released the 2015 World Nuclear Industry Report in Chinese. The report assesses the statuses of nuclear energy projects under construction around the world, and provides in-depth analysis on the construction periods of nuclear power plants, technological development and potential problems.
