Low Carbon Development and Early Emissions Peaking in Chinese Cities

2018-11

As one of the members of the International Technical Supporting Platform for City Emission Peaking (ISP-CEP) to help cities achieve their carbon emissions peaking goals, the NRDC spearheaded the information gathering of cities’ efforts on reducing their carbon emissions and drafted case studies of best practices. This report is a collection of the case studies that tell stories of low carbon development and early emissions peaking in 8 Chinese cities like Wuhan, Changsha, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Beijing, Chenggong, Guiyang and Shanghai. The case studies cover various sectors of low carbon development, including building, transportation, carbon market, industrial transition and planning.
