This research report performed an analysis that identified and determined the costs and effectiveness associated with the best available techniques (BATs) and the best environmental practices (BEPs) applied and to be applied pursuant to air pollution control policies and standards issued by the China national and provincial governments in the non-ferrous metal (zinc, lead and copper) smelting sector to meet with the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
