Automated Demand Response are pre-set programs to automatically adjust customer loads in a demand response event. During a demand response event, automated devises on the customer side receives requests from the electric utility or load aggregators, and determine the appliances whose load will be adjusted as well as set plans for dispatch. This factsheet will be introducing the actual experience of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in its implementation of automatic demand response.
