Energy performance benchmarking and public disclosure are essential to improve building energy efficiency by owners, tenants, and other stakeholders. With support from Energy Foundation China, NRDC conducted an in-depth study on the best practices of New York City, Seattle and other U.S. cities, as well as a comparative analysis of the relevant policies and issues in China. The final report will be released at the end of March 2014, detailing recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings in China through benchmarking and disclosure.
