NRDC and the China Electricity Council (CEC) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation (MOU) on November 16. As China’s key power industry association, CEC works to serve and connect the power industry, facilitate communication with the government and engage with the public. NRDC has collaborated with CEC on various research projects, such as China Regional Power Low-carbon Transition Paths under the "Dual Carbon" Goals and Low-carbon Transition Practices of China Power Enterprises. The signing of this MOU marks a significant milestone in deepening the cooperation between the two organizations toward achieving green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. Practical cooperation areas under the MOU include energy and climate policy, low-carbon transformation in power enterprises, low-carbon power development, and exchanges on exemplary practices. The signing ceremony was witnessed by CEC Vice President, Yu Chongde, and NRDC International Program Managing Director, Amanda Maxwell, and signed by CEC Deputy Secretary-General, Yu Xuehao, and NRDC China Country Director, Zhang Jieqing.
