U.S. Experts Present at CUPL Fishery Ecosystems and Management Workshop

The NRDC Oceans/Fisheries Program and China Environmental Law Project supported the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) workshop on Fishery Ecosystems and Management in Beijing on May 12. NRDC invited experts to share U.S. fisheries legislation experience, including NRDC's Sarah Chasis and Brad Swell, who gave presentations on the U.S. fisheries laws and Natural Resources Damage Assessment systems. The workshop discussed key issues for the revisions of China's Fisheries Law with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, universities, institutions and international NGOs.
