2015-03-26

The Coal Cap Project released four research reports in the first quarter of 2015, analyzing coal cap policies in the power and cement sectors, the use of fiscal and taxation policy to support a coal cap, and the effects of a coal cap policy on employment. The reports detail how a national coal cap policy can be implemented through more aggressive efficiency and clean energy policies, in addition to the use of resource, environmental, and carbon taxes. The jobs report analyzes how a coal cap policy would create hundreds of thousands of new, sustainable jobs in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors. The coal cap reports continue to raise media attention and are available on the coal cap website
