NRDC held a workshop with four other international NGOs (Environmental Defense Fund, Energy Foundation China, Institute for Sustainable Communities, and World Resource Institute) in Shanghai on April 16, 2015, and released the report, "Low-Carbon Development Path for China's New-Type Urbanization: Challenges, Strategies and Practices." The workshop convened approximately 60 representatives from organizations, governments, universities, and the media for a day of presentations given by scholars, experts, and city planners on urban planning, transportation, and city energy consumption. NRDC will continue advocating for low-carbon urbanization in China.
