The Belt and Road Green Development Partnership, an NGO platform supported by NRDC, Greenovation Hub, WWF, GEI and other NGOs, held its fourth annual forum in Beijing on October 29, 2019. Bringing together over 200 experts and participants from Chinese and international research institutes and organizations, energy planning institutes, enterprises and financial institutions to discuss and exchange on the current progress and available green innovation mechanisms to promote low-carbon investment and practices in BRI countries. NRDC organized a sub-forum on “BRI Renewable Energy Development”, bringing together 100 experts and participants from government think tanks, financial institutions and renewable energy enterprises to discuss policy support and planning, green finance instruments, and challenges and potential solutions faced by Chinese companies, the stakeholders will continue to work together to support Chinese renewable energy investment and cooperation in BRI countries.
