Green Belt and Road Project released two research reports in June 2019. “Opportunities and Challenges of Belt and Road Overseas Investment in the Power Sector under the Paris Agreement” uses Vietnam, Pakistan and Laos as case studies to analyze the influence of NDCs on power sector development in BRI countries, aiming to identify the investment baseline under climate goals and providing suggestions on low-carbon investment in BRI countries for policy makers and investors. “Oil and Gas Green Development and Implementation in Belt and Road Countries – Oil Refining and Ethylene Sectors" introduces the current status of oil refining and ethylene sectors in BRI countries, and provides policy recommendations for addressing challenges in strengthening green BRI oil and gas cooperation.
