Transportation sector development has direct impact on energy and environment. NRDC works to promote green and low-carbon development of China’s transportation sector not only through electrification but also better utilizing resources across different systems such as electric vehicles as a grid resource. We also support cleaning up dirty diesel trucks through supporting effective enforcement of truck emission regulations and promoting green freight services. We partner with government agencies, research institutes and industries on conducting technical and policy research projects, implementing pilot projects and ultimately designing policies to support clean transportation development in China.
