Yue Yao works on MPA (Marine Protected Areas) development to support marine protection and biodiversity conservation in China. She had more than 13 years working experience in international NGOs, focusing on conservation and animal protection. Before joining NRDC, she worked at World Animal Protection and World Wide Fund for Nature. She holds a master’s degree in environment and natural resource management from Dalhousie University in Canada, focused on marine issues. She also has an MS in Biology from Beijing Normal University, and a BS in environmental science from Renmin University of China.
