Forest carbon sequestration plays a vital role in mitigating climate change. To promote the high-quality development of forestry carbon sequestration, it is imperative to innovate green financial mechanisms and models. This innovation aims to expand the sources of funds and improve the efficiency of capital utilization.  In line with this objective, NRDC and CIB Research conducted a research project on Mechanism and Innovation of Green Finance Support for Forest Carbon Sequestration, which deeply analyzed the policies and standards, and summarized and analyzed in depth the innovative mechanisms and practical cases of various forms of green finance support for forest carbon sequestration development, including funds, bonds, insurance, and stocks. In addition, the research identified the obstacles faced by green finance in supporting forest carbon sequestration, and put forward suggestions for forestry, environment, and finance sectors.
