This report examines government initiatives in procuring green building materials at home and abroad. It proposes two key recommendations aimed at promoting low-carbon concrete through green procurement practices. The first one suggests including low-carbon cement in government procurement requirements and establishing a carbon labeling framework for the cement industry. The second suggests to enhance the overarching strategy for procuring low-carbon concrete by strengthening both the green building and green building materials standards. It also proposed to expand the scope of government procurement in green building materials.
