China is building the world's largest national park system.  There are communities in and around the national parks. NRDC and the Institute of National Parks of China worked together to research on national park gateway community to support the development of those communities and the zoning management of national  parks. The research reviewed international and domestic practices, analyzed the current situation and existing challenges of the development of gateway communities in China, and provided recommendations on policy and regulations, construction standards, and coordination with higher-level planning.
