China is developing the world's largest national park system, and one of the challenges lies in balancing the conservation of natural ecosystems with the interests of the substantial population of residents both within and around the protected areas. Drawing from specific case studies, the guide seeks to enhance legal awareness among local residents, empowering them to take an active role in the protection, management, and sustainable use of natural resources.
