The third Corporate Information Transparency Index (CITI), was released on October 27, 2016 in Beijing. The CITI Report is the first quantitative evaluation system designed to measure brands' supply chain environmental performance in China and has been published annually since 2014. NRDC collaborated with the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) on the development of criteria used in the evaluation. The new report shows that an expanding number of both international and domestic brands are using public supervision data for green procurement in China and have worked with over 700 suppliers in China to improve their environmental performances. Moreover, the report also illustrates that green supply chain construction is not only gaining greater recognition from brands and the public, but also the government where domestic policy space is further expanding. The report was released at 2016 Green Supply Chain Forum. NRDC's Kurt Kipka, Senior Project Manager of CBD, gave a presentation on textile industry's effort to green its supply chain with our on-hands experience to over 150 audience from media, NGOs, companies and government.
