The collaboration between NRDC and Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau to promote demand response and other demand side resources was selected as one of the three U.S.-China EcoPartnerships in 2017. This is the second time that NRDC's work in China has been recognized as a model for the tangible results that can be achieved through sub-national cooperation since the EcoPartnership Program's inception in 2008. Under this new EcoPartnership, the two parties will work towards establishing market mechanisms for demand response, integration of renewable energy into power grids, and design of supporting policies and pricing mechanisms for Shenzhen.
