On November 5-7, as part of our work to promote global nature conservation, NRDC was invited to attend the 2nd World Ecosystem Governance Forum in China. This is an International Forum co-organized by China National Forestry & Grassland Administration (NFGA), IUCN and Hangzhou Government with over 270 officials and experts from around the world gathered together to discuss issues on ecosystem governance. Andrew Wetzler used the US Clean Water Act to showcase how the smart and measurable policy can help to safeguard the fishable and swimmable waters and discussed the conservation challenges with the Administrator of NFGA at the Forum.
