The Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) held a CICA seminar on green and low-carbon city development on October 31 to promote knowledge sharing and peer learning between Asia countries.
NRDC China City Project Director, Zhiming Pan, presented best practices on building decarbonization in different countries, including a successful case by Changning District of Shanghai that issued China’s first building energy performance benchmarking regulation with NRDC’s support.
Experts from Thailand, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and UNEP gave presentations to over 150 online audience, including officials from MEE, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Chinese local Environment protection Bureau in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing.
CICA, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, is a multi-national forum to enhance cooperation between Asian countries.
