One of our NRDC experts attended the training organized by the China Ports & Harbors Association in Wuhan from September 13-14, 2014, and gave a lecture on the "Status and Perspectives of Ports and Shipping Emissions Control" to an audience of over 120 representatives from ports all over China. The lecture spurred the Association to explore collaboration opportunities with NRDC. As a first step, the Association will co-host training and distribute NRDC's reports to help promote the prevention and control of air emissions from ports and shipping in China. The Association will also connect NRDC's ports team to the Ministry of Transportation and targeted port cities.
