Official letter of thanks from the SPC

On January 6, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) issued a judicial interpretation for civil environmental public interest litigation (EPIL). The final Interpretation establishes a framework for Chinese environmental NGOs to file EPIL suits against polluters. When the interpretation was open for public comments, NRDC and other environmental NGOs submitted comments and recommendations to the SPC, which were reflected in the finalized interpretation. On January 19, the SPC issued a thank-you letter to NRDC expressing appreciation of our support in environmental adjudication work, and encouraged continuing contribution.
