In order to promote energy efficiency and help China's major energy service companies reach electricity saving targets, China's top macroeconomic planning entity, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), asked top research institutes and organizations, including NRDC, to develop a series of Demand Side Management training materials. NRDC led the publication of a manual on “Motor System Energy Conservation Technology,” which was published by Electric Power Press in October 2013. NRDC will continue to organize training workshops to help with capacity building for China's two major grid companies, the State Grid Corporation and China Southern Grid, as well as other energy service providers.
