On November 13, NRDC and the National Center for Climate Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC) co-organized the 2021 Annual Environmental Law Forum with the Environmental Law Society of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, an influential national professional platform for environmental law and policy. The forum featured cutting edge research on topics relating to climate law, including carbon sinks, CCS, and damage assessments, among others. 

More than 500 participants attended the hybrid forum. Delegates from leading universities and research institutes such as Peking University and Tsinghua University, as well as delegates from  environmental protection organizations, law firms, and other sectors exchanged ideas on the legal and policy frameworks needed to address climate challenges.
